  1. A1C = A stable glycoprotein formed when glucose binds to hemoglobin A in the blood. When referred to in keto groups it is a test that measures the level of hemoglobin A1C in the blood as a means of determining the average blood sugar concentrations for someone who is diabetic.
  2. ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar
  3. AS = Artificial Sweetener
  4. BF% = Body Fat Percentage
  5. BG = Blood Glucose
  6. BPC = Bulletproof Coffee
  7. BS = Blood Sugar OR Bull S💩….Okay I’m not actually going to spell that one out for you, it depends on the context, I’m sure you can figure it outc! 🙂
  8. CICO = Calories In Calories Out
  9. CKD = Cyclical Keto Diet; typically for those with lots of high intensity workouts
  10. CW = Current Weight
  11. GW = Goal Weight
  12. HF = High Fat or Healthy Fat
  13. HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training
  14. HWC = Heavy Whipping Cream
  15. IBS = Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  16. IF = Intermittent Fasting
  17. IIFYM = If It Fits Your Macros
  18. IMHO or IMO = In My [Honest] Opinion
  19. IR = Insulin Resistance
  20. KCKO = Keep Calm Keto On
  21. Lazy Keto = Many variations, typically means not tracking all macros
  22. LBM = Lean Body Mass
  23. LC = Low Carb
  24. LCHF = Low Carb High (Healthy) Fat
  25. Macros = Macronutrients, consisting of Protein, Fat, and Carbs
  26. MCT = Medium Chain Triglycerides, a healthy oil usually from coconuts
  27. MFP = MyFitnessPal; macro tracking app
  28. Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrates minus any Dietary Fiber and/or Artificial Sweeteners (sugar alcohols)
  29. NSV = Non-Scale Victory
  30. OMAD = One Meal A Day
  31. OP = Original Poster
  32. OWL = Ongoing Weight Loss
  33. PCOS = Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
  34. PM or DM = Private or Direct Message
  35. RDA = Recommended Daily Allowance
  36. SAD = Standard American Diet
  37. SF = Sugar Free
  38. Shark Week = Menstruation cycle
  39. SKD = Standard Keto Diet; can be medical or nutritional
  40. SV = Scale Victory
  41. SW = Start Weight
  42. T1D = Type 1 Diabetes
  43. T2D = Type 2 Diabetes
  44. TKD = Targeted Keto Diet; typically for those with lots of high intensity workouts
  45. TLDR or TL;DR = Too long, didn’t read; usually found at the end of a long post, OP gives a summary after
  46. TMI = Too Much Information
  47. WOE = Way of Eating
  48. WOL = Way of Living
